Woohoo! ✨ It has now been three months since I moved into my new home, and I would like to share my experience and joy of having this motorhome as my home. So here are my first thoughts that come to mind when I think about the past few months.
The new home on wheels – Oscar
Malibu I 441 LE
Living in the Malibu has been a real pleasure. From the moment I stepped in, I felt comfortable. The indoor climate is so wonderful. The Malibu has been designed with so many smart solutions and details that it has made life on wheels incredibly easy and comfortable. I love how the motorhome is used to its optimum and how comfortable it is to live here, even on cold days.
Driving pleasure is great. The Malibu sits well on the road and feels ‘glued’ to the road around bends. It didn’t take many days before I got used to the big front and driving with an automatic transmission. It is a great joy.
Comfort and functionality
Something I really appreciate is the warmth and insulation Oscar offers. Even when the temperature drops outside, it’s always comfortable and warm inside. The integrated heating system ensures that Núna and I do not freeze and it allows us to explore even the cold areas without problems. For over 5 years I have been walking around with flip flops and wool socks inside. It’s not necessary anymore, but I still wear the thin wool socks, even on hot summer days. I love the functionality of the wool.
Cooking on the road
The kitchen is a gift to have with you; I can stop and eat when I’m hungry. I love being able to cook delicious meals wherever I am. It is equipped with everything I need. Sometimes I surprise myself that I don’t need more. Before, I had SO many kitchen items and machines. One wonders that I can make do with what I have, but I actually have everything I need and even a little more than that.
The storage options are so nice
The storage in this Malibu is well laid out and I am totally blown away by the floor space and the HUGE garage. I had room for a lot more if I had more kilos to deal with. I have prioritized the things I use most inside, so that I don’t have to go out so many times to get something. But it’s a good balance I’ve found.
Office and dining area
When I sit in the seating group, I have a good view. I sit well with the computer, and important for me, I can reach the ground with my short legs. And I also have the opportunity to take it up, as it is an L seating group.
The front window
The view through the large front window provides so much light and such beautiful views. How many times have I sat and worked and just fell in love with what is happening outside. Driving this motorhome is a pleasure. With wide visibility and side mirrors that show everything, I have never felt so safe and had such a good overview.
Adventure in Norway
The past three months have been full of adventures. The Malibu has taken me to places I’ve only dreamed of visiting. We have driven through scenic landscapes and spent the night in so many different places. Every day offers new experiences, and I love the freedom of being able to move my home wherever I want.
The future
I look forward to many more months with the Malibu as my home. This motorhome has really exceeded my expectations and made life on the road a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to share more adventures and stories with you all. I’m especially looking forward to winter, when I’ll go out and beat the snow and cold and feel how this winter car is built for it. It will be a pleasure.
There is probably no one in doubt that I love life on wheels and having the whole home with me, because otherwise I wouldn’t be doing my 6th year.
