30 May – 5 June

(For danish speaking people)

(5 out of 7 places have been sold)

Take the ferry to Iceland and we will meet in Seydisfjördur on Tuesday 30 May 2023. Then I planned the most beautiful week with great nature experiences in beautiful Iceland. I have been to Iceland many times and want to show you the most amazing places. My knowledge of the island is great and I have a good network.

Dag 1 – 30 Maj

The ferry arrives at 9:00 and we meet in Egilsstaðir at 11:00. Here you have the opportunity to buy food in Bonús (Ala Netto). When we are ready, we drive to Borgarfjarðarhöfn to see puffins. This fascinating and beautiful bird is a great experience that everyone should see. After seeing the beautiful birds, we drive on to the Klifbrekku waterfall.

Dag 2 – 31 May

We start the day by watching ‘The waterfall without a name’ We then drive to the magnificent Barkináfoss waterfall which is an experience in itself. After this great experience, we drive on the east coast from the south coast, which is an incredibly beautiful trip, where nature shows itself from its best side. We end the day at Stokksnes, which is some of Iceland’s most beautiful nature. We see the beautiful mountains Vestrahorn and Viking Village.

Dag 3 – 1 June

On day 3 we drive to the legendary Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, with Diamond Beach which has the black beach on the other side of the road. Hopefully, we see both seals and common eiders. Once we are full of impressions, we drive to the smaller glacier lagoon. It is different – but I would like you to see it – Fjallsárlón. In the evening, it is possible to go up to Svatifoss on your own, which consists of hexagonal basalt columns.

Dag 4 – 2 June

We walk along the magnificent gorge – Fjaðrárgljúfur. This unique nature is hard to describe – it must be experienced. The day ends in Vík, where you can stock up and buy souvenirs. It is also possible to go for a walk to the water, where the beach sand is black. A special and completely special experience. This day I invite you to dinner in Vík.

Dag 5 – 3 June

On the fifth day, we drive to Reynisfjara Beach and see Reynisdrangar, which is world-famous with the black beach. A beautiful nature experience. After the visit we drive to Skogafoss, where there is the possibility of horseback riding nearby. It is also possible to go for a walk along Skogafoss which is one of Iceland’s most beautiful and approx. 60 meters high. We end at Kvernufoss – a small waterfall where you can walk behind.

Dag 6 – 4 June

On this day we drive to Iceland’s oldest pool – namely Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool it’s an outdoor pool surrounded by large mountains in a small valley. It is located approx. 1 km from the parking lot. Then we drive to the large famous waterfall Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind. Close to Seljalandfoss is the Gljufrabui waterfall, which we also see.

Dag 7 – 5 June

On our last day, we visit the LAVA Center in Hvolsvöllur. The Lava Center is a high-tech and informative exhibition that depicts volcanic activity – through millions of years. We end our joint journey by meeting and where you have the opportunity to ask questions – also for your further trip on the island. I am happy to make suggestions – based on my own experiences.

We drive from the campsite every morning at 9.00

I reserve the right to make changes to the route. However, I test drive the route myself before you arrive, so we hopefully avoid surprises. A more detailed itinerary is handed out before departure with links, accommodation and coordinates.

How much is the ferry ticket?

Unfortunately, I can not answer that, as prices have been very variable and ‘supply and demand’ have been used since 2020.

The price for Hugo and me in 2021 was DKK 18,000. Hugo is 6 meters and less than 3 meters high. I slept alone in a 4 man’s living room (It was not allowed at that time with shared accommodation with people with whom the trip had not been booked) In 2023, I have booked a ticket for DKK 26,900 for 4 months. with a single cabin.

My best advice is to call or email Smyril Line and you will get a price that suits your needs.

To have a good and meaningful stay, I recommend that you have a minimum of 3 weeks in Iceland.
